Cobb Chamber Top 25 Small Business of the Year

Rio Mar Beach Resort

This campaign was awarded an Honorable Mention at the 2010 Marcom Awards.

The Taste of Marietta, a culinary event held in historic Marietta, GA, wanted a fresh look for its 17th annual event and was willing to try new technology to spread the word to attract visitors. 524 Creative developed a new logo, as well as the “Peach on the Fork” concept to reflect, not only the event’s roots in Georgia, but also the exquisite taste that the area is known for (note the engraved initial on the fork itself).

Working with Marietta Welcome Center & Visitors Bureau Executive Director, Theresa Jenkins, 524 Creative imbedded QR codes on all of the marketing materials, including all advertisements, billboards, posters, and more. When photographed by a smart phone, the QR code routes the user directly to the event’s web site for more information.

“Because more and more people today are utilizing mobile phone technology to access information on the go, we felt it was very important to use QR codes to bridge the gap and connect our printed marketing efforts with our continually-updated web site,” said Theresa Jenkins. “524 Creative did an outstanding job in introducing us to this technology and in implementing it across all of our materials.”
